While developing or before launching a complex IoT product or Smart Energy system, our clients often lack the resources, time or experience, or simply do not have access to the required lab infrastructure and equipment to perform the necessary functional and user acceptance tests. In some cases, our clients simply want to engage a neutral party who has not been involved in the development or integration of the product or system, but has the expertise and experience to evaluate it.
In such cases, we and our partners help our clients by identifying and recommending the most suitable test methodologies and configurations, by performing all required tests to validate the functionality and evaluate the performance of our clients' Smart Energy and IoT products and systems, and by providing structured feedback including test reports and recommendations for improvement.
TEST SCOPING & INFRASTRUCTURE | We support our clients in fine-tuning their test objectives and use cases, in defining the most appropriate test methods and processes, and in specifying, setting up and managing the required test infrastructure.
FUNCTIONAL TESTING | As part of our clients' quality assurance process, we perform "black-box testing" using test cases based on specifications of the system under test. We offer to test selectively any slice of functionality or sub-system. Usually we focus on connectivity, stability, reliability, integrity and security of products and systems. As a result, we provide a comprehensive test report and detailed feedback to our clients.
USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING | We perform tests by taking the roles of our clients' customers, staff and/or partners. We test all use cases defined for the product or system under test (and sometimes also use cases the client has not thought of yet). After completion, we summarise our findings in a comprehensive test report and provide detailed feedback as well as recommendations for improvement to our clients.
TEST EQUIPMENT LEASING | Smart Energy lab equipment can be fairly expensive. In the past, companies who had the need for a realistic development environment or had to perform tests internally for a limited period of time had to allocate a huge portion of their budget to purchase expensive equipment. We help clients to solve this problem by leasing selected test equipment, including programmable DC power supplies from Swiss company Regatron (Type: TC.P.16.800.400), for a period of 1 to 12 months.
